This will be your best view ever.
Put your hands together. Look through the little hole. You can see something — but never the whole. Glimpses. Fragments. A pinprick of glory, and we call it the full picture.
Through a narrow hole. Squinting at our worst moment. The recurring sin. The person we used to be. He only sees my failure. He’s keeping a record.
He cannot see less of you than everything. The God who knows the number of your days knows the whole of your heart — and does not look away.
You have searched me, and known me.Psalm 139:1 (WEB)
You are not a problem being tolerated. You are a child placed here to struggle and learn. The struggle isn’t proof you’re failing the design. The struggle is the design.
The LORD looks on the heart.1 Samuel 16:7 (WEB)
Lower your hands.
It was the pierced hands that opened the view. The shame that makes us hide is the same grip over our own eyes. Trust how He sees you — and you can finally let go.
It was always there. Never dimmed, never distant — only obscured by your own hands. This is the view that was waiting the entire time.
Your daily practice: cup your hands, look through the hole — then lower them. Remember which view is real.
